New Horizons Day Camp is committed to providing an enriching program for all types of campers. We pride ourselves in creating an environment where the most outgoing to the most introverted campers can thrive and have a fantastic summer experience.
Our unbeatable staff ratios, dedicated administrators, and our Inclusion Director Will Fanslau ensure that all our campers have THEIR perfect summer!
While New Horizons Day Camp is primarily a Traditional Day Camp, we also have a small Shadow Camper Program, for children who need consistent 1 to 1 support to have a successful camp season. The Shadow Camper Program is limited to 12 Campers/Spaces per week. Assigning a Shadow Counselor is an additional fee of $300/week.
Shadow Counselors are Assistant Counselors (Rising HS Sophomores-Seniors)- they are not paraprofessionals or ABA therapists. The primary roll of a Shadow Counselor is to help ensure campers are able to navigate transitions in the daily camp schedule, social dynamics, and provide consistent supervision throughout the camp day.
